J&K journalists visit UP for inter-state VBSY coverage

PIB team from Lucknow arranges interactions of journalists with officers, representatives in UP

Jammu, Jan 08: A 13-member team of journalists from Jammu and Kashmir got an opportunity to visit Uttar Pradesh under the inter-state media coverage of the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) being undertaken across the country for the promotion of central schemes to make general public aware about these schemes.
Under the programme, the team comprising representatives from different media organisations in Jammu and Kashmir led by the team of Press Information Bureau (PIB) Lucknow, met the UP’s Additional Chief Secretary-Agriculture Shri Devesh Chaturvedi on January 3 and held detailed discussions about the various programmes which were to be held under Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Uttar Pradesh.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was organized at Yogananda Girls Inter College under Ward Shitala Devi in Urban area. On the occasion, Shri Ram Chandra Pradhan Member Legislative Council was the chief guest.

The PIB Lucknow team later took the journalists to the Bara Imambara to see the ‘bhool bhulaiya’, ‘Shahi bowl’ and later went to the Roomi Gate before visiting Gomati river viewpoint.
On January 4, the Barabanki administration met a 13-member journalist group from Jammu and Kashmir under the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra wherein officials gave information about the progress of the central government’s schemes.
During the interaction, discussions were held with District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar wherein it came to fore that an investment of Rs 20,000 crore would be made in Barabanki out of which 50 percent alone would be made in the field of agriculture.
Thereafter, the team visited the park which was situated in the Barabanki rural area under Kisan Samman Nidhi under the MNREGA Scheme, and held an interaction with the respective team in Gram Panchayat Mamarkhapur of Siddhaur block.
Journalists from Jammu and Kashmir witnessed the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Mohammadpur Chandi Singh Gram Panchayat of Siddhaur development block of Barabanki.
The team of journalists also witnessed the van with Modi’s guarantee of Bharat Yatra developed in Mohammadpur Chandi Singh Gram Panchayat of Siddhaur Development Block of Barabanki where they saw how the villagers were getting Ayushman Card, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, PM Sawanidhi, etc. schemes.

The new scheme in VBSY is the Drone Demonstration. Drone became the center of attraction during Sankalp Yatra: Nano urea was sprayed in the fields, and farmers were told its importance.
During the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Barabanki, the drone demonstration was made by the Agriculture Department. The method of spraying nano urea through drones was demonstrated in the camps.
On the occasion, the department officials explained the importance of Nano Urea for crops and shared the information about other departmental schemes including natural farming.
Later, the team also interacted with the Padma Shri Awardee Ram Sharan Verma and discussed the tips being given to the farmers of Jammu and Kashmir to avoid accidental losses.
